L\'île bleue

L'île bleue

Starting at:

2001. Color. 83 minutes. French language, no English subtitles. Image quality: good. Set in France in 1940, "L'île bleue" tells the story of a young and beautiful girl named Mellie who lives with her aristocratic father Alexandre, and her adolescent cousin Robinson, in her family's chateu on an island in the middle of a lake. German troops have just invaded the country, but to Mellie and her family, living in their rural, idyllic world, the war still seems far away, that is, until Mellie's fiancé André is drafted into the Army. She then becomes intimately close with fifteen-year-old Bertrand, one of Robinson's friends. Many of you will recognize the lovely Julie Delarme, who plays Mellie, from her breakthrough film "C'est la tangente que je préfère". She has a nice fully nude scene. Her costar, fashion model Alyson Le Borges (age 14, in her first movie role) plays local girl Maïté, and gives a quick bum flash when dared to by Bertrand.

Contains nudity.
