Izgubljeni Zavicaj

Izgubljeni Zavicaj

Starting at:

(aka "Lost Homeland") 1980. Color. 97 minutes. Croatian/Serbian language, no English subtitles. Image quality: good.

A middle aged man returns to his homeland to attend a funeral, and reminisces about his pre-World War II life there as a child. He vividly remembers how he admired his father, who was an overseer of property owned by a Countess Valerija. He also has a particularly fond memory of the Countess' daughter Mlada Ines, who awakened his sexual desire when they were alone on a boat, and she lay on the deck with her breasts exposed. Directed by Ante Babaja, "Izgubljeni Zavicaj" is considered to be one of the best Croation films ever made. Cute young Croat Jasminka Poklecki makes quite an impression in her one and only film role as Mlada Ines, the topless girl on the boat.

Contains nudity.
