La femme enfant

La femme enfant

Starting at:

1980. Color. 96 minutes. French language, no subtitles. Image quality: very good.

A compelling but very strange relationship between a young and lonely girl, Élisabeth, and a mute peasant farmer, Marcel. Élisabeth and Marcel enjoy many an innocent moment together every morning before she leaves for school. Klaus Kinski is his usual creepy self as the mute farmer, and demonstrates an amazing commitment to his role in a scene involving bovine proctology that has got to be unique in the annals of cinema! Lovely Pénélope Palmer plays the adorable Élisabeth. Yet another example of daring and controversial film making that could only come from Europe.

Contains nudity.
